Perception
No two people look at things the same way!
There is a process of how people see things First we select what we see and don't see. Then we organize our selection and give it meaning by interpreting it. We notice some things because of how we organize it in our brain. We make sense of things, choose and then arrange it. The final step to the process though is negotiating it is comparing it to what other people think and trying to achieve a shared perspective.
Although the process of how we see things is the same from person to person but the influences on the process help determine our perception. These such influences are things like age, health, biological cycles, feelings such as fatigue or hunger, cultural differences, gender and career roles.
Just a few fun facts to know about perception: *We tend to judge our self less harsh than others* We tend to not leave out negative characteristics when talking about someone* We tend to judge the obvious* We tend to cling to first impressions*
I tend to Judge things too harsh and two quick sometimes, the upside about this is that my views can change every easy and quickly. I and im sure many other people notice what is wrong about a person before we notice what is right about a person, this is just because the "wrong" things sometimes are the more obvious. I do not like that i judge too quick but i think its good that i know when im doing it and when im not, that way i have more control over it, i do this by perception checking. Once i know some information about something i seem to form an accerate view of things. The one other thing i wish i was better at, and will work on is the pillow method of empathy.
